East Coast rockers, I Am the Avalanche, are hitting the road in support of their third release “WOLVERINES” which was released in March and I am happy to inform you that a St.Louis date has been announced by Pagan Productions today for September 15th at FUBAR! The album comes four years after their critically acclaimed album “Avalanche United” and, just like that album, came with some blood, sweat, and tears. Frontman/Vocalist Vinnie Curuana stated in an interview,”I was making my solo record and I injured myself…so I started writing the Avalanche in more excruciating pain that I could ever imagine… And then Hurricane Sandy hit and I was laid out and could barely move and my town, I’d look out the window and it was all destroyed”.
The band’s single “The Shape I’m In” is an ode to the time spent pushing through the time he spent dealing with the injury taking pain medication and using a crutch to walk. Hearing the passion and struggle via the album is one thing, but seeing I Am the Avalanche convey their heart and souls in person will have not only your undivided attention, but will draw you in closer until you can literally taste the blood, sweat, and tears this band consistently put into their art.
