Cassadee Pope aka my #1 girl crush has gone from pop punk lead singer to country super star. After winning The Voice in 2012, Cassadee went on to pursue a solo career as a country artist.

I don’t have much to say about the matter except that I love her, not as much as Rian Dawson, but I love her and everything she does. I get chills when she sings. She’s that good. My all time favorite song of her’s is still “Candles”. Her voice pulls you in and you can’t help but stand there with your jaw on the ground.

I feel like I’ve watched her grow into this beautiful artist over the past few years. I always thought Hey Monday was fun and that her voice was flawless but watching her on The Voice I got to experience her true talent. She could sing and dominate every song that Blake threw at her. Who knew that she would make a phenomenal country singer. I liked every song she sang on The Voice better than the originals.

A lot of people are saying that Blake and The Voice made her do Country. She denies those rumors even though she seemed confused about the whole Country thing at first. She might lose some fans because of her new genre choice but she’s gained a lot more since then. If you don’t appreciate her for the artist she is then you aren’t a true fan.

Cassadee is currently working on her debut album to be released fall 2013. The lead single of her debut album, “Wasting All These Tears,” was released on June 4, 2013.

Check out one of Hey Monday’s first singles “Homecoming” and then watch Cassadee perform her first country single “Wasting All These Tears” live on The Voice. 🙂
