Everyone has certain bands, artists, or albums that they listen to during the summer. For some reason they just sound better during the summer or they remind you of good memories from past summers. Or maybe you found out about them over the summer and they are forever associated to the summer. Who knows, it’s different for everyone but I KNOW everyone knows what I’m talking about. The second it’s warm enough to drive around with the windows down you know exactly what music you want to listen to. That’s what I’m talking about, your summer soundtrack.

Usually the bands I listen to release new music in the spring and that usually becomes part of my summer soundtrack. This year no one has recently released anything that I absolutely love or they aren’t releasing anything until July or August. That leaves me with old favorites for the first half of summer.

Here’s my list of music that I associate with summer:

Cartel – Chroma album

All Time Low –  So Wrong It’s Right album and their cover of Umbrella

The Starting Line – anything and everything

Blink 182 – anything and everything

New Found Glory – Self-titled and Sticks And Stones albums

Man Overboard – Real Talk

Midtown – anything and everything

The Ataris – Blue Skies, Broken Hearts… Next 12 Exits album

Hellogoodbye – Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! album

Allister – two songs, Somewhere On Fullerton and Overrated

Amber Pacific – two songs, Gone So Young and Fall Back into My Life

Hit The Lights – This Is A Stick Up… Don’t Make It A Murder album

Jack’s Mannequin – Everything In Transit album

Riddlin’ Kids – I Feel Fine

There’s definitely a lot more that I listen to and a lot of random things. I also turn on a lot of Taylor Swift or other really poppy things. Anything that puts me in a good mood.
