Ryn Weaver (real name Aryn Wuthrich) kind of came from no where. She broke out just this past summer with her debut single “OctaHate” with already almost 2 million plays on SoundCloud. Weaver has recently put out her first EP Promises. Her #fairypop (as she likes to call it), vulnerable lyrics may soon lead her to her own very ‘promising’ future.
How she got started may be one of the best parts to her music. She met Benny Blanco, record producer, through an ex-boyfriend in New York. Months later she went out with a friend in LA who saw she had mutual friends with a stranger on Tinder. Long story short, Tinder got Weaver a record deal. But besides collaborating with Blanco, she also worked with Cashmere Cat and Passion Pit’s Micheal Angelakos to produce her new EP. With support from such big artists from being an unknown 21 year old, Ryn Weaver has been blessed and with her great music she’s bound to go far.
